November 7, 2007 07:56 - 4 Mistakes To Avoid When Getting A Residential Steam Shower - part 3

3) Enclose the steam shower completely – As you may know, steam is not restricted by the same laws which restrict the liquid form of water. In order to make sure that the residential steam shower remains effective, you have to make sure that the steam produced is enclosed. This will retain both heat and humidity.

In the enclosure, you need to make use of waterproof materials such as ceramic. Remember, that the benefits of the steam shower do not come from the exposure to the steam alone –it comes from being enclosed in the heat of the steam. You need to feel the heat build up and make you perspire. This allows your body to purge toxins and fat.

4) Go for aesthetics – Once you build a residential steam shower, it becomes a major part of the bathroom. In other words, it will certainly impact the way your bathroom looks. You need to make sure that the design of the steam shower does not clash with that of the bathroom. Make the residential steam shower blend with the rest of the bathroom.

By going for aesthetics, you will make sure that people will be able to appreciate your steam shower even if they aren't inclined to use it. By going for aesthetics, you will be making sure that the steam shower truly becomes a part of your home.
