The health benefits of saunas have passed the test of time. There are lots of claims about new health products, miracle cures and diets these days. How many of these do you think will be around in 20 years let alone 2000 years? Saunas have been documented for at least that long and probably existed much longer than that. A fad? I don't think so. What else can you think of that has lasted this long? There are things that have lasted the test of time but none of them are junk, only the real deal avoids the waste pile of history. The reason saunas have worked has not always been understood but the effects have been recognized. A couple hundred years ago who knew about free radicals, antioxidants, Infrared radiation or detoxification? What they did understand is that after using a sauna their health and spirits were improved. Today we understand the causes for the health benefits of saunas better but the basic results are the same. You look and feel better.
